*Notice: Before attending each appointment, please review the COVID-19 Pre-Appointment Questionnaire.
Please contact our office if you have any questions or concerns by email (admin@thehccaf.com) or phone (470-227-0169).
In accordance with local guidelines for the COVID-19 public health crisis, The Healing Center for Children, Adults
& Families will gradually resume limited in-person services as of July 1st, 2020. If the pandemic or other concerns
resurface, I may return to telehealth-only services out of an abundance of caution for everyone’s safety. The
health of my clients and their families are of utmost importance.
If at any time you decide you’d prefer telehealth services, I will continue to provide this option. Please keep in
mind that reimbursement for telehealth services is subject to change depending on applicable laws and
insurance regulations. I also ask that you please adhere to the following precautions recommended by the CDC
guidelines, state and federal guidelines, and professional organizations to help keep everyone safe.
● Wear a mask while on the premises.
● Notify me if you’re deemed an essential worker.
● Avoid touching your face or eyes with your hands.
● Minimize your exposure between appointments.
● Keep a 6-ft distance from others and do not engage in physical contact.
● Wash your hands or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer before and after entering the office.
● Message me at your appointment’s start time to notify me that you’re ready.
● Please wait in your car and the therapist will call you to come in where you will go straight into her office.
● A temperature check will occur once you enter.
● Do not attend your in-person appointment if you or your child are experiencing symptoms of any illness.
● If you, your child or anyone in household has been exposed or diagnosed with COVID-19 you will notify
the office before the session.
My practice will continue to follow best practices to reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus. If anyone in
my office tests positive for the virus, I will notify you.
Please understand that I may be required to notify local health authorities if you’ve tested positive for COVID-
19. If so, I will only provide information that’s only absolutely necessary for their purposes. I will continue to
monitor the situation closely and will communicate with you if circumstances change due to new local, state, or
federal orders and guidelines.

Our office is currently assessing, reviewing, and following updates and changes with the CDC, Georgia Health Department, school system, and local businesses. I have made some changes with the scheduling at the office as well as keeping the office as clean and disinfected as possible.
1. I will be reducing the number of clients seen in the office and making sure that clients are not back to back. For example, I will have a 1 PM but not schedule a 2 PM so there is distance between each session to mitigate the health risk and spreading the virus. Giving distance to each session it will also provide time to disinfect and wipe down areas around the office.
2. The door knobs/handles, light switches, bathroom are cleaned several times a day. Additionally, we are disinfecting the office and common areas as well as removing some of the toys in the common area to reduce the risks of spreading infection.
3. I am recommending and providing Telehealth Services as an option for anyone who does not want to come into the office due to health risks, contact with someone who has the virus, or if you or anyone in your household has been infected with the virus. Telehealth is provided through Zoom on simple practice which is my online portal. I send you the link and all you need to do is make sure you download the app/software and then you will just need to hit the enter button to our video chat. I want to make sure you have access to therapy sessions if you cannot come in.
4. Our office policy asks that you wash your hands with soap and water upon arriving for your session. If your child has a session, please assist your child to do the same. Please cough into a tissue or your elbow and review this with your child.
It is important that we all take precautions and follow CDC guidelines for protecting yourself, your family, and your home. We all want to keep each other safe and protected and minimize infecting others. STAY CALM, Be KIND to others and, STAY MINDFUL OF DISCRIMINATING OR STIGMA OF OTHERS INFECTED WITH THE VIRUS.
